Selected Work / Designed By Dane
Different businesses need different things from their websites. The goal isn't to make every project look like Designed By Dane — it's to make each one feel right for the business it belongs to.
Here's some of the work I've built, rebuilt, expanded, and helped shape.
April House is the full-range example — a fully custom Wix Studio website paired with a complete digital brand system, built for an established care home in Marysville, Washington.
April House Adult Family Home
Adult family home / residential care
A fully custom Wix Studio website and digital brand system for an established Adult Family Home in Marysville, Washington.
Designed by Dane built the entire site from a blank canvas — responsive layouts, CMS-powered availability, custom forms, accessibility, and local SEO — and developed the complete digital visual system around the client's existing logo.
A small residential care home that needed to feel as warm and trustworthy online as it does in person.
Curtis Hill Estate
Residential care / adult family home
Families researching care need to quickly understand whether a home is a good fit. The website had to communicate the setting, the care, and the day-to-day environment clearly — without feeling institutional or overwhelming.
A reassuring rather than clinical presentation. Clear, honest information about the home and its services. Simple navigation that puts the environment and photography first, and a mobile-first layout — because most families start this research on a phone.
A full website organized around what families need to see first: the home, the care and amenities, and a straightforward path to learn more or make contact. Quiet, unhurried pages that lead a visitor from first impression to next step.
A professional, approachable website that gives families a much clearer picture of the home before they ever make contact.
A platform I designed, built and launched through Designed By Dane.
Residential Care Network
Residential care directory / provider platform
Most of the work here is small-business website design. This one is different — a provider-managed residential care directory built to support homes across all 50 states.
The platform combines searchable location directories with provider accounts, home-management tools, availability updates, verification workflows, administrative control, and optional paid listing features.
Designed, built and launched by Designed By Dane from concept to live — a founder-built platform rather than a client website.
A roofing company doesn't need the same website as an Adult Family Home. A physical therapist doesn't need the same experience as a contractor. That's the point.
An established roofing and exterior company already had a website — it just wasn't organized around how customers actually choose a contractor. I rebuilt the homepage, built dedicated service and location pages, and gave every page a clearer path to a next step.
A more functional build focused on presenting HVAC training products clearly and giving customers a straightforward path from understanding the offer to purchasing it.
A warm, trustworthy site that helps parents understand the programs, the values, and the next step — built around reassurance rather than sales pressure.
Visit The Baby Haven
Professional Business Website
A soft, meadow-inspired website for a luxury picnic and dreamy sleepover business serving Arlington and Snohomish County. The design balances the "Luxe" side of the brand with the natural, softer feeling of "Meadow" — pastel styling, airy layouts, and a clear inquiry-based journey.
The projects above are a few I wanted to show in more detail. Here's the rest of the work — the complete record of businesses I've built for, with a live link to each site.
A website should look and work like the business it belongs to. Residential care needs reassurance. A contractor needs trust and a fast path to the right service. A performance business may need more education before somebody books.
The design changes because the customer, the business, and the job of the website change. That's the difference between building around a business and applying a template.
It should look like your business.
